The test development process includes the following conference activities:
As Equity Advisors, educators work collaboratively to review test materials for issues of potential bias, making panel recommendations to prevent disadvantaging an examinee because of his or her gender; race; nationality; ethnicity; religion; age; sexual orientation; disability; or cultural, economic or geographic background.
As Content Advisors, educators work collaboratively to review the content of test frameworks or draft test items, making panel recommendations to revise items as needed.
For these conferences, educators enter into a review process in order to provide the PESB a passing score recommendation for a new test.
