Eligible K–12 Washington public school educators and teacher educators will be approved by the Washington Professional Educator Standards Board (PESB) and recommended for participation in test development conferences.
Opportunities for participation include:
Content Advisory Panelist for a Review Conference
Educators with a background in the content of a test
will review draft test materials such as the test
framework or test items.
Member of a Standard Setting Meeting
At this meeting, educators participate in a standard
setting process and then recommend a passing score
for the test to the PESB.
Equity Advisory Panelist for a Review Conference
Equity Advisory Panelists are a diverse group
of current and exemplary educators who represent individuals
with disabilities and/or the racial, gender, ethnic,
and regional diversity within Washington.
Equity Advisory Panelists convene to review draft test materials for potential bias and make recommendations to prevent disadvantaging a candidate because of his or her gender, race, nationality, ethnicity, religion, age, sexual orientation, disability, or cultural, economic, or geographic background.
